I had a nightmare
One of us blew up the moon
Testing a new rocket
they hit the button too soon
The effects were not instant
But we all knew
with the wind and the size of the waves
that would soon ensue
Some went to Walmart
But it finally closed
They broke the doors down anyway
Like Kurt said so it goes
We got a quick lesson
On how we all depend
On what we barely notice
while the planet spins
As for the internet
People were confused
There was not enough bandwidth
to console all of you
We comfort our children
Tell em dreams come true
If they wish upon those stars
when it all depends on the moon

The Vikings and the moors
Teach yourself the causes of those
French and Indian wars
The latitude and longitude of Timbuktu
but none of that means anything
if we don't have the moon
